Sambalpur: Closing Ceremony of National level Pallishree Mela
Sambalpur: The national-level Pallishree Mela, which is being held at Ainthapali PHD ground, has been organized its closing ceremony on Sunday. The fair started on December 10. There were 180 stalls in this fair organized jointly by Ormas, Mission Shakti, and district administration. According to the administration, a total business of around 1 crore 40 lakh was done in 8 days. The chief executive officer of the district council Dharmendra Mallik was the chief guest at the event.

The forestry department was awarded as the best innovative stall while the horticulture department was awarded as the best displayed stall. Sangini SHG, Sambalpur was awarded for highest sales. Lahari Cultural Institute Hirakud Jawan Club, Sambalpur Cultural organization Rangfarua, Folklore Council, Tribal Art and Folk Culture, Bajnia and Konhar institutes were also honoured. A drawing competition on Sustainable Development Goals was organized by the District Planning and Monitoring Unit. Kirtimayi Bhoi won the first prize in the junior category and Pragya Behera won the first prize in the senior category.
