Sambalpur: Congress delegation Leaders are not allow to meet the lawyers in jail, the arbitrariness of the jail authorities come to light

Sambalpur: Now the Sambalpur Mandal Jail authorities have come under the arbitrariness of beating up the lawyers who were arrested in the December 12 incident. The delegation of the Provincial Congress Committee, who went to Mandal Jail today, was not allowed to meet the arrested lawyers. Led by former MLA Sujit Padhi, lawyers Manoj Naik, Debashish Mohapatra Major were included in this delegation. They returned frustrated as the jail authorities did not allow them to meet. Congress has condemned such a policy of jail authorities. While the BJP delegation met the arrested lawyer yesterday, it has been questioned how reasonable it is not to allow the Congress delegation to meet the arrested lawyer today. On the contrary, the Congress has demanded that the state government immediately send a full proposal to the central government for the permanent establishment of the High Court in Western Odisha and that the central government also implement it immediately.

The Congress delegation went to the premises of Sambalpur District Attorney’s Association and met its members and discussed the current situation. Similarly, Uttaranchal IG Dr. Deepak Kumar demanded to end the abnormal situation prevailing in Sambalpur. The delegation told the IG that if normalcy is restored soon, people can benefit from legal action. However, the Bar Council of India has withdrawn the suspension order against the advocates, so they can do their work smoothly, according to the Congress press release. Former MLA and District Congress President Ashwini Guru, District Vice President Niranjan Tripathi, Gopal Panda, Women Congress President Sutapa Mitra, Mohammad Muktar, Chinmay Panigarahi, Yashbir Singh, Kavita Pattnaik, Jayant Sahu, Mohammad Subuddin, Mohammad Okil, Mohammad Salim are prominent in this delegation.
