Sambalpur: Construction Materials Lying Unattended at Vimsar for Months, Causing Inconvenience to Visitors
Sambalpur: Construction is going on at Burla Vimsar (Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research). However, construction materials and some useless waste have been left ignored in various locations of the medical facility for several months. This condition is producing problems for visitors to the medical center, who are inconvenienced by the piles of materials scattered around.
Construction materials have been lying in different spots on the Burla Medical Center’s indoor campus for months. Sand and gravel have been dumped in certain areas, and discarded tin sheets have been left in parking lots. Management has stacked up these unusable materials. As a result, doctors and staff are having difficulty finding parking spaces for their vehicles, while patient families are forced to stand in the mess. The medical facilities appear messy and unkempt. The premises are reported to be dusty as a result of neglected construction materials.
Despite this situation, the concerned department responsible for maintenance (Purta department) has not taken any action to address the issue, leading to growing discontent in the area.
Meanwhile, there is a general demand from the public to pay attention to the cleanliness and hygiene of the medical premises, in addition to providing proper facilities and services.
