Sambalpur: Counterfeit SDA Plan Approval Case; Big fish caught in the net, planning member Bandita Mohapatra arrested
Sambalpur: SDA’s Fraud is slowly coming to light. After the arrest of Laxminarayan Samal and Steno Sudhanshu Pati of the SDA office, who ran a business through fake building plans, this time a big fish has fallen in the police net. The police have arrested Bandita Mohapatra, the head of the planning department and planning member of SDA.
In addition, the police informed that the draftsman of the SDA office and Architech Manas Chaini had been arrested in the case. The SDA approval certificate site map was signed by Bandita Mohapatra which was prepared by Manas Chaini.
According to the Police, Karamdoli Debraj Sahu has applied to SDA for the building plan. At SDA, Manas asked to submit Rs 12 thousand first for the approval certificate. Then Bandita Mohapatra advised to visit Section Staff Laxminarayan Samal and Manas for building plan approval. After seeing Mr. Samal, he put a handwritten slip saying 2 lakh 59 thousand 234 rupees fee. As Debraj said he would pay through cheque, they asked for cash and then he paid Rs 2 lakh 60 thousand in cash. In addition, he paid another 25 thousand rupees for the office fee. They gave a letter of approval without the receipt of the money, which contained the signature of Planning member Bandita. After checking whether the receipt was genuine or fake, Debraj found out that the letter he got was fake, Debraj handed it over to Ainthapali police station, and the police started the investigation in Case No-369/23 Section-420, 468, 471/34 IPC. In this case, the police found evidence of the involvement of planning member Bandita, Laxminarayan, and Manas. Police arrested Bandita today. Later, the court proceedings are held. Additional SP said that the investigation of the case is still going on.

While investigating the case, the police found that fake certificates were being circulated all over the place. Because now the new certificate was applied online. Therefore, there is a person who is cheating people by taking cash in the hope of getting the approval certificate soon and giving the legal certificate with a date before 2021.
The Complainant is the accused
In the case of a fake SDA planning approval certificate, Bandita himself first filed a complaint at Khetrajpur police station. Later, the police registered the case and arrested Laxminarayan Samal, the dealing assistant of SDA. After that, one after another, the police were informed of the SDA’s activities. Steno of the office was arrested and now the police have arrested the planning member Bandita. The police found evidence of Bandita’s involvement in this fraud that has been going on for years in SDA and arrested her.
So far 10 cases have been filed
One after another, complaints about SDA fraud are reaching the police. According to the police, 10 cases have been registered in Sambalpur town police station, Ainthapali, Dhanupali, and khetrajpur police station and the investigation of the case is continuing. It is expected that the number of arrests may increase further.
