Sambalpur: Countless customers are turning their backs from Government agency BSNL
Burla: There was a time when people had to wait for months to get a landline connection. Everyone relied on the BSNL service. But now in the face of changing circumstances, customers are turning their backs on BSNL. In many parts of Sambalpur district, there is a shortage of networks and students are facing problems in online classes. The telephone number of the customer who took the net connection has not been turned on for years. Almost no one picks up the phone for complaints and investigations.
The number of existing land lines has decreased. Villagers in the village have also been turned off.
Consumers complain that national telecom companies such as BSNL are not properly supervising the contracting process after all the work from bill collection to repair is going through such a mess. People and students are having problems with the lack of networks in remote areas.
A large number of experienced contract workers have been laid off because of the fact that they have not been paid or have been employed for many years. Problems with exchanges have been reported. The BSNL has not been able to run the generator at all since the generator near the tower went off. Demands are being made by the intellectuals to address these issues immediately.
