Sambalpur: Cyber crime is increasing in Sambalpur city, Cyber Police Stations do not have the right amount of staffs and experts

Sambalpur: There are cases of cyber fraudsters constantly cheating people across the state. It has been seen that it is becoming impossible for the police department to catch the criminals while the cyber fraudsters are deceiving millions of rupees by showing greed and fear to the common people. While there are more cyber gangs operating in the state, the Jamatra gang is particularly active and is committing fraud. Realizing that the number of cyber police stations in the state is low, the state government has decided to increase the number and arrest cyber criminals. Cyber police station was also established. Currently, there are 14 cyber police stations in the state. But the state government is accused of harassing people only in the cyber police station. While only cyber police stations have been established, the police stations do not have the right amount of staff, but experts have been hired in all the police stations.

The same situation has been observed in the Sambalpur cyber police station. While many cases are being investigated in this police station, there is a lack of staff to investigate many cases. The biggest thing is that there is no cyber forensic expert in the cyber police station. The role of this expert is the most important for the investigation of cyber cases. It was said that 154 people will be there during the inauguration of 4 Cyber Crime and Economic Offenses Police Stations. In which Inspector, Sub-Inspector, ASI and Constable will be engaged. Apart from this 2 IT, Financial and Accounts Analyst, Cyber Forensic Expert will be employed each but this has been left in the announcement only. Not only cyber crimes but also economic crimes are on the rise. While people have a lot of expectations from the new police station, which has been established to deal with cyber crimes and economic crimes, the government has only opened the police station and is sitting there. It has been highly demanded to hired sufficient staffs and cyber forensic experts in the Sambalpur cyber police station.
