Sambalpur: Cyber fraud looted in the name of investment
Sambalpur: In the name of investment, a cyber fraud has taken 77 thousand from a student. After hearing that he could make more money, he invested money in online trading with the aim of helping his parents. He fell into the trap of cyber fraud through Telegram. First he invested 10 thousand rupees. However, as he wanted to withdraw money, he was asked to pay taxes. Even after depositing the tax related money, he did not get the money. The cyber fraud said that the bank was not receiving the money. In this way, he cheated a total of 77,324 rupees from the students using various pretexts. Then deleted all messages from Telegram and blocked him. After realizing that he was a victim of fraud, he lodged a written complaint at the Dhanupali police station. After the complaint, the police registered a case and started investigating the incident.
