Sambalpur: Cyber frauds took 4 lakhs from 2 people in the pretext of giving job
Sambalpur; Called himself an officer of NLC. Then he cheated more than 4 lakh rupees from 2 people by tempting them to give them a job. After being a victim of fraud, 2 youths of Dhanupali filed a complaint in the police station on Monday.
According to police information, Ashwini Tripathi of Koraput Jaipur identified himself as an officer of NLC Bhubaneswar. He showed desire to give a job to Riku Jena and Hemant Behera of Dhanupali. Lustful of job, Riku gave Rs 2 lakh and Hemant gave Rs 2 lakh 25 thousand to Ashwini last May. A few months later, Ashwini also gave appointment letters to both of them.
However, after taking the said letter and going for a job, it was found to be fake. After digging, it was found that Ashwini is not an officer of NLC. Then they both asked him to return the money. After that he didn’t give a damn. When called, they did not pick up or return the money. Finally finding no recourse, Riku and Hemant filed separate written complaints at Dhanupali police station on Monday. The police have registered 2 different cases and started investigating the incident.
