Sambalpur: Cyberfraud Steals Rs 1.5 Lakhs Using Screen Sharing App

Sambalpur: A person from the Burla police station area has become a victim of cyber fraud. The cyber fraud has deducted more than one and a half lakh rupees from his account.

According to the information received, he received a call from an unknown number on the 27th. The caller told him that they would provide him with a credit card online. They sent him a screen-sharing app and asked him to install it. The man downloaded the app, thinking that he would receive a credit card. After some time, Rs. 1,54,395 was deducted from his account in 3 transactions.

Knowing that he was a victim of fraud, he filed a complaint at the Burla police station yesterday. The police have registered a case and started investigating the incident.
