Sambalpur: Deadly Heatwave; Sambalpur District Records 15 Deaths in 2 Days
Sambalpur: Eight people died on Thursday in Sambalpur district, while seven more lost their lives yesterday. In other words, the death toll has increased to fifteen in two days. Similarly, six people suffering from stroke have been treated in different hospitals in one day. These areas include Putibandh, Durgapali, Danipali, Bhatra, and Jharbandh. The number of infected individuals is increasing every moment. Additionally, the health department has reported that the number of people affected by the disease in the district has reached 157. They have all recovered.
Because of the increasing number of cases, Sadar Hospital has specially prepared a section trauma ward with 12 beds and an AC room. There is enough oxygen and medicine available. ADMO Medical Doctor Ashok Das said that the number of beds will be increased as per requirement. According to Burla Hospital Superintendent Lalmohan Naik, six beds and two cabins have been arranged in case of emergency. A person who was rescued from Jharbandh railway station in the evening in a critical condition was first referred to Sadar Hospital and later to Burla Medical Centre. The SRC has issued special guidelines today to deal with stroke.
