Sambalpur: Death of patient under treatment in Vimsar due to family members leaving the helpless patient alone
Burla: In Burla Vimsar, patients are being left behind by their families. It is often seen that after being admitted to the hospital, they do not keep track of the patient’s survival or death. Today again such an incident has come to the fore. According to information received from hospital sources, a 60/65-year-old man was admitted to the fourth unit of the male surgery ward in Vimsar on July 1 last due to a head injury. After being admitted to the hospital, the patient had no one of his own. The patient was unconscious due to a head injury. His health improved to some extent under the treatment of the doctor. After regaining consciousness, he introduced himself. He identified himself as Nuas Dungdung, son of Junas Dungdung, a resident of Junakel Khadiya Pada under Bana Thana of Simdega District. After the hospital staff got the identity, they informed the medical station to contact his family members. The police officer also took immediate action and informed the police station officer of the concerned area about this. However, none of Nuas’s relatives came to Vimsar. He died today while undergoing treatment. As there is no relative, his body has been preserved in the freezer of the medical police station after the autopsy.
