Sambalpur: Deer calf that lost way & wandered from Tabloi Deogan Reserve Forest towards public area was rescued on Friday evening
Dhama: A deer calf that had wandered from Tabloi Deogan Reserve Forest towards public area was rescued from Dhama Gainpura boxi dhaba.
On Friday evening, after seeing some stray dogs chasing the baby deer, the dhaba staff rescued the deer from the dogs and informed the Dhama forest ranger. The forest department officials took the baby deer and examined it. The deer is not injured anywhere and is a one-and-a-half-year-old female fawn. Dhama ranger Purna Chandra Mohanty informed that the deer was healthy and released it back into the protected forest on the orders of the DFO.
