Sambalpur: Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology performed a Complicated Surgery, Remove 12 kg Tumor from abdomen of the woman
BURLA: A medical team from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Burla Vimsar has performed a rare surgery and saved the life of a woman. After a three-hour operation, a special medical team of the department managed to remove a 12 kg tumor from the abdomen of the woman concerned. The department has informed that the health condition of the woman is stable.
According to information, Kuma Dehuri (46), wife of Maya Dehuri of Bandhakani village, Khamar, Angul district, was experiencing abnormal swelling in her stomach. This problem has been going on for many months. On the 26th of August, Vimsar came to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for treatment. After various tests, the doctor came to know that a large tumor was growing in the stomach. He then said that the woman’s surgery is essential As it was a complicated and rare surgery, a team of doctors was formed under the leadership of Dr. Benudhar Pandey, Associate Professor of Medicine and Obstetrics. Today, the said team conducted a successful surgery on the concerned woman. In this team Dr. Pandey with Dr. Shubhakanta Mohanty, Dr. Shubhalakshmi, Dr. Ambika, Dr. Sweta, and Dr. Maley Patel are present. After a complicated surgery for three hours, For such success, Dr. Pandey thanked all the team members.
