Sambalpur: Disabled are not getting any allowance, the old mother is tired of running to the NAC office

Kuchinda: The state government has many schemes for the differently abled. The real picture of this scheme being ineffective has been seen in Kuchinda NAC ward No. 1 Mahuldihi. Ashwini (24), the daughter of Late Daya Keu and wife Khirabati Keu (70) of the village, not got the allowance. Ashwini is 60 percent disabled from birth.

According to his mother Khirbati, since 2019, she has been tired of running to the NAC office for disability assistance. Allowance has not been received so far. Khirabati is not able to do work due to being old age. Alone old mother is having difficulty in carrying her disabled daughter. It will be almost 4 years since she has gone to the NAC office for more than 60 times. Sometimes they return me that there is no officer and sometimes there is no one else in the office. Upazilapal and NAC president Vibhu Bhushan Naik was contacted to inquire about this but communication became not possible.
