Sambalpur: Disorder system at Burla Hospital, Lack of medical care for critically ill patients
Sambalpur: On Wednesday night, two critical patients who were injured in an accident at shifted to Burla Hospital were taken back home by their relatives due to lack of treatment. The video that went viral in relation to the return of the patient in the middle of the night has now become a topic of discussion.
Two critically ill patients were brought to Vimsar’s intensive care unit by their relatives late on Wednesday night, but instead of being treated, they were allegedly abused by doctors and security guards.
They even alleged in the video that the security guards there hit the patient’s relatives. Forced to do so, they took the critically ill duo back from Vimsar Casualty and admitted them to a private hospital.
Such behavior has been condemned in various circles to the patients and their relatives who rushed from far away to the big hospital in danger.
In this regard, Vimsar Superintendent Professor Lalmohan Naik said that the relatives of the said patient arrived at Vimsar Casualty at 12.50 am when the doctor in charge was busy with another serious patient.
When the relatives arrived, they immediately demanded the doctor to see him as the patient was in serious condition. After seeing him, the doctors said that they would see the patient after seeing oyher serious patient, Prof. Nayak said. He has denied the allegations of abuse.
