Sambalpur: District Administration and Women & Child Development Dept. has celebrated International Women’s Day at district level
‘Society will be stronger if women are empowered’
Sambalpur: In the program held at Tapaswini theater, the guest and speaker said that if women are empowered, the financial status of the family can improve, so women empowerment should be the main goal of the society. It is necessary to give freedom and reforms to girls. The speakers opined that if a daughter laughs at home, the whole family laughs, there is a need to sensitize women about their rights in the unorganized sector.
District Council President Kumudini Naik, District Magistrate Ananya Das, Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Sahu, Additional District Magistrate Ajambar Mohanty, District Red Cross Editor Jay George were present in the meeting. In the beginning, the district society official Gitanjali Mohapatra gave a welcome speech.
Later, Pramila Singh of Tenmulitikra of Maneswar Block became the first, while Kanika Pradhan of Jamankira Block Kaddimunda became the second and Soudamini Raul of Naktideul Block Chardaposhi got the third position as the Best Anganwadi worker. Similarly, as the best supervisor of the district Sambalpur urban area Sadhana Singh of Amaripada Sector got the first prize, Rojni Sahu of Redhakhol got the second prize and Pankajini Pradhan of Hatibari Sector of Jamankira block got the third prize.
Similarly Rani Sahu of Naktideul was honored as the Best Sakhi award and Akanksha Mahakud of Jujumura Block was felicitated as a “Saheli”. Bamra Block CDPO Meenti Mishra was felicitated by the guest as Best CDPO. In a program held in Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur District Child Protection Officer, Suchismita Pattnaik was also felicitated as the best DCPO as she was also honored as the best DCPO in the state by the Chief Minister.
