Sambalpur: District Collector Inspected Various Projects, Focuses on development of Bhimbhoi’s childhood place Madhupur & Kankanapada
Sambalpur: District Collector Ananya Das visited Redhakhol today and inspected various projects. The childhood life of saint poet Bhimbhoi was recounted, emphasized on the improvement of Madhupur and Balyapeeth Kankanapada. Along with this, she visited various projects that are carried out by women self help groups.
District Collector reviewed the progress of the Bhimbhoi library and the under-construction indoor stadium. After visiting the 5T high schools of the BadaBahal Panchakhanda, she went to Madhupur village and discussed with the villagers and Saints about the improvement of Madhupur. On this occasion, the villagers attracted the attention of the District Collector to built a library and a park in this area.
Along with this, she saw moong cultivation by women self-help group in Madhupur, terracotta by Kadaligarh Raseshwari women’s self help group, tomato and chili sauce production center built by Dadhibaman women self-help group. Later She held talks with the villagers to improve the Kankanapada, the childhood home of poet Bhimbhoi. She visited the Bio Fertilizer Project being constructed by the Samleswari Women Self Help Group of Kankanapada.
On this occasion, the villagers presented Smruti Chintamani composed by Saint Bhimbhoi to the District Collector. After that, she went to Charmal and visited the sewing center of the self-help group, Gopalan Kendra etc.
Along with her, Sub-collector Pabitra Behera, VDO Manoj Kumar Meher, Block Secretary Pradeep Pradhan, District Council member Sharat Kumar Pradhan, Kadaligarh Sarpanch Saroj Sethi, Divisional Supply Officer Bighnaraj Mohapatra were present.
