Sambalpur: District Collector of Sambalpur & Balangir get married to each other in Guwahati
Sambalpur: Two young IAS officers of Odisha, Sambalpur District Magistrate Ananya Das and Balangir District Magistrate Chanchal Rana are engaged to each other. The wedding ceremony of both of them was held in a star hotel in Guwahati on Monday evening, May 1st. Hundreds of guests from both sides attended the popular wedding ceremony, which was held in Bengali customs. Before the wedding, Chanchal arrived at the mandap in traditional attire. Chanchal danced with the bridegroom himself.
On reaching the Mandap, Ananya’s family gave him a warm welcome. A musical program was held the previous evening. In that, both the bride and the groom performed an interesting dance along with their relatives. The video of the said dance has gone viral across the country. It is worth noting that the marriage ceremony of 2014 batch IAS Chanchal and 2015 batch IAS Ananya was held on February 19 at Ananya’s residence in Sambalpur.
It is worth noting that Sambalpur district magistrate and his Balangir counterpart Chanchal Rana danced to the music before getting engaged. The two young District Magistrates of the state, Mrs. Das and Mr. Rana, danced to the song ‘Sona Kitna Sona Hai…’ from the Hindi film ‘Hero No. 1’. The video of them dancing on their wedding day is going viral on social media.
