Sambalpur: District Collector’s visit to Maneshwar Block visited 5T schools, Jarashram and Temple
Dhama: District Collector Ananya Das visited various places of the Maneswar block on Wednesday and reviewed the work of government schemes, projects, and institutions. She visited 5T high schools in Dharampur and saw the bamboo work and pad-making units and inquired about the advantages and difficulties of the students. She also discussed with the teachers and students about textbooks and other topics. She directed the department officials to complete the ongoing welfare pavilion work at Saharpur immediately. She visited Durga Dadhibaman Temple and Huma Leaning Temple and discussed how to attract more and more tourists there with various parties. She visited the Sanitary Napkin Pad Unit being manufactured by Shakti SHG of Bargaon Panchayat.
The District Collector appreciated the work of the women of the said SHG group and discussed how to expand the marketing of the pads. She visited the Jarashram residence in Humapati and understood the problems of the inmates there. Wheelchairs were distributed to two people. Later, visited Charpali Sambalpuri handloom production. Similarly, saw the bamboo work and encouraged the artisans. She discussed how they can get the raw materials properly. She directed the concerned departments to speed up the various road works of the Rural Development Department. During the visit of the District Collector, VDO Smaranika Tul, Tehsildar Ajay Tiwari, and other departmental officers were present.
