Sambalpur: Don’t worry if you don’t have a garage for your car; Ring road is for parking!
In Sambalpur, are you planning to buy a car? Concerns about parking are arising. There is no need to worry about parking. The Ring Road is undergoing parking arrangements. A divider separates the two sides of the road. For the past two days, due to heavy rain, no one wants to talk about parking; they’re only admiring the trees. There’s a fear of cars being damaged if branches fall due to the wind. There’s no worry if the parking area is covered with a canopy in an open space. Police officers stationed in the colony are not worried about branches falling on cars. Fear of theft arises when cars are parked by the roadside under streetlights. Due to all these reasons, the Ring Road in Sambalpur has now become a secure parking place. It’s essential to prepare a garage at home for parking cars. Currently, garages are only being prepared for the name. In the future, garage are being converted into shops for rents.
Cars are being parked in front of houses. The Traffic department is responsible for controlling the parking. However, some cars parked by police officers in colonies are violating parking rules. So, the general public, as usual, is parking cars wherever they find space. During the tenure of the famous Chief Minister in 1995, Ring Road was constructed in Sambalpur. Earlier, houses were located on the riverbank, and the riverbank was adjacent to the Mahanadi River. After the construction of Ring Road, people started opening gates on the roadside. Earlier, there used to be narrow streets behind houses, but now the main road of Ring Road is being used as the main street. Initially, there were no dividers, but later dividers were constructed in the middle. Samalei Square has been developed to connect to the bypass, and it is being used as the main road for traffic to the Burla Bridge. It is extensively used by residents for commuting, including taking patients to Burla Hospital via the national highway. Due to this, the road is experiencing an increase in unauthorized parking, especially in an orderly manner. Earlier, there was concern about this becoming a major problem.
