Sambalpur: Dr. Shankar Ramchandani’s special birthday celebration, sit and feasted with leprosy patient
Sambalpur: Leprosy is not a contaminate disease. It did not kill the patient when contagious.
Dr. Shankar Ramchandani, Assistant Professor of Vimsar, has again made an effort in a unique way to give such a message to the society and remove the misconceptions from people’s minds.
On friday, When it was Dr. Ramchandani’s birthday, he celebrated it with members of the Burla Junapani leprosy colony. Another year also, on his birthday, he went to the leprosy colony to check the health of the patients and distribute various items. But this time he invited some patients of the said colony to his house and had lunch with them. Dr. Ramchandani and his wife Dr. Sikha prepared lunch and sit with the leprosy patient and ate together with them.Even earlier, Dr. Ramchandani carried a leprosy patient and cross the road.
If a doctor interacts with a leprosy patient then there is no fear of infection, he took a picture to convey this message to the people which went viral in the country and abroad.
