Sambalpur: During way to Slaughter, 18 cows were rescued, 2 vehicles were seized, drivers were detained

Burla: A police highway patrollimg van stopped and interrogated two vehicles near Silver Moon Hotel while carrying cows for slaughter from Bargarh to Sambalpur late on Thursday night. As no satisfactory response could be obtained from the driver, both the vehicles were brought to Burla police station. 18 cattle from both vehicles were rescued and treated at Burla Veterinary Hospital. After learning about the incident, Bajrang party president of Burla Wanar Colony Jayant Banchore and other members came and demanded the arrest of the accused. However, according to police information, the driver of both the lanes, Naveen Chhatriya (23) and D. Murali Rao (25) are from atabira area.
