Sambalpur: Dussehra Puja Committee has contributed more than 10 lakh rupees for the construction of Maa Samleswari Parva

Sambalpur: Efforts by the Temple Trust Board to build the Silver Parva of Maa Samleswari have gained momentum. Maa Samleswari Dussehra Puja Committee has contributed more than 10 lakh rupees for the construction of this parva. A cheque of Rs 10 lakh 11 thousand 111 was given to the temple trust board by the committee on Sunday. Giving more information in this regard in a press conference organized in the temple yard on Sunday evening, Trust Board President Sanjay Babu said that it was decided last year to build the silver parva of Maa Samleswari and cooperation was sought from various individuals and institutions. Tool (Silver and Rupees) has been made available for about 48 kgs of silver in this series.

Proposed Silver

As 80 to 100 kg of silver are required for the construction of Parva, the same amount of rupees will be required. The cooperation of Maa Samleswari Dussehra Puja Committee is encouraging to all. There are 11 kg 800 grams of unutilized silver which the devotees had previously contribute to the temple. From the day it was announced for the parva construction, till date, devotees have already donate 29 kg of 2000 grams of silver. Similarly, 13 lakh 770 rupees have been received so far in the form of money for the construction of Parva. Now, adding the 10 lakh 11 thousand 111 rupees given by the Dussehra Puja Committee, it has increased to 23 lakh 11 thousand 881 rupees. From the first week of April, artisans will come from Cuttack to build the parva. They will start work after measurement. So Shri Babu called the devotees to donate the remaining money and construction costs.

Among others present at the press conference were District Magistrate Umakanta Raj, Trust Member Prafulla Hota, Santosh Pruseth, Maa’s Chief Worshiper Ambika Rai, Dev Kumar Ajmeria, Premraj Panigahri and Ma’ Samleswari Dussehra Puja Committee President Akshay Ray, Vice President Saghan Ray, Secretary Priyadarshi Indranil. , Assistant Secretary Sanjiv Singh, Treasurer Saman Mohapatra, Accountant Sanjiv Mohapatra, Gaurishankar Nayak, Rajiv Singh, Tuku Panigarahi, Kundan Pradhan, Devendra Roy, Debasis Rath, Sumit Pradhan, Ranjit Dey were present. It is worth noting that earlier, 7 lakh 3 thousand 800 rupees were given by Maa Samleswari Dussehra Puja Committee for the construction of gold umbrella for Maa Samlei.
