Sambalpur: Elephants are insecure in Sambalpur, two elephants are fighting for their lives.

Sambalpur (Padiabahal) : Elephants are now unsafe in Padiabahal forest in Yuyumura block of Sambalpur district. In the recent past, elephants have been hunted in the block, and now two sick elephants are fighting for their lives. One sick elephant came to drink water and was trapped inside a pond while another elephant was lying in the forest near the village. A few days ago an injured elephant was seen roaming the Padiabahal forest. The forest department said the two elephants were injured in the clashes. To provide medical care to this elephant, it took the forest department four days. The injured elephant When the feet are stuck in the pool mud Couldn’t get out because of weakness. The wound on the right leg has not dried. Trying to get out of the water to get up failed. Upon hearing the news, the Padiabahal range officer rushed to the scene and attempted to rescue him. He was able to get up after giving two injections to the elephant, but was unable to get out of the pond until 7 p.m. The injured elephant did not recover due to lack of proper treatment.

Another elephant was found near Amba Burei in the Baham village under the Padiabahal forest. The elephant is said to have suffered injuries to its right leg. The elephant cannot walk properly. However, the elephant has not yet been provided with medical care. Today, the Sambalpur DFO visited the spot and held discussions with the departmental staff. The ACF has already seen injured elephants. For the treatment of elephants b the departmental authorities, attraction is said to have been done.
