Sambalpur: Employees should be instructed to wear Sambalpuri clothes on Sambalpuri Day
Sambalpur: Guru Satya Narayan Bohidar made sacrifices for uniting the Sambalpuri sadhaka poets and artists and spreading the language and culture. Paschimanchal Ekta Mancha has been organizing Sambalpuri Day in various parts of the state including Sambalpur. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Shri Satya Narayan Bohidar, the father of Sambaluri culture, the Paschimanchal Ekta Mancha Manch was established in 2013 and this year marks the 11th anniversary of the celebration of Sambalpuri Day on August 1.
Like last year, this year too, all the District Magistrates of the western region have been requested to issue official instructions to all the government employees to wear Sambalpuri clothes on August 1. A statue of Satya Narayan Bohidar is going to be installed soon, the press conference held at the Mahanadi Club has informed the Paschimanchal Ekta Mancha.
It has been informed in the press conference that on July 30th, a rangoli and drawing competition will be organized by Tamanna Foundation at the invitation of Paschimanchal Ekta Mancha. A bike rally has been organized under the leadership of ‘Sambal’ Institute that morning. A blood donation camp will be held in Talab village on the occasion of Sambalpuri Day. Similarly, efforts are being made to organize Sambalpuri Day in more than 40 places in Odisha this time. Similarly, Sambalpuri Day will be celebrated in Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Sonepur, Boudh and Bargarh. State Sambalpuri Day will be organized at Sambalpur Jail Street.
In this, the cultural program will start at 1 pm after the Sambalpuri poetry reading from 10 am. Cultural groups from the district and outside the district will participate in it. More than 25 hundred contestants participated in the photo competition organized for Sambalpuri Day. This time Sambalpuri writer Amritlal Sahu will be given the Gurushri Satyanarayan Sambalpuri National Honor, it has been informed by Mancha. In the press conference, Dr. Pramod Rath, coordinator of Sambalpuri Day, host Bhavanish Bhoi, chief coordinator Manas Ranjan Baksi, Sambalpuri language literature coordinator Pankajini Meher, women coordinator Kanti Meher gave important information.
