Sambalpur: Eviction Drive Continues in Sambalpur; Encroachments Removed from Jhupudipada and Panitanki Chowk for Road Widening

Sambalpur: The Sambalpur Municipal Corporation has continued its anti-encroachment drive across the city. As part of the ongoing effort, officials today removed illegal constructions from Jhupudipada and Panitanki Chowk in the Mudipada area.

Six Houses Demolished in Jhupudipada

In Jhupudipada, authorities demolished six unauthorized houses. Meanwhile, they also cleared encroachments at Panitanki Chowk. The eviction took place peacefully in the presence of police, ensuring no law-and-order issues.

Purpose Behind the Drive

Municipal Executive Officer Sushant Kumar Sahu confirmed that the operation was carried out under police supervision. He also stated that the cleared areas in Jhupudipada will soon undergo development work. Moreover, the eviction was essential for widening roads ahead of the upcoming Sital Sasthi festival to improve traffic flow and public safety.
