Sambalpur: Instagram love has cost a young woman living in Sambalpur. After getting a marriage proposal on Instagram, the young woman shared an intimate video of herself. The Instagram friend blackmailed her by showing that video and asking for money. After giving 5000 rupees, the young girl went to the cyber police station because of him asking for more money.
The video became viral after taking the money
According to the information, a young woman living in the area of Ainthapali police station chatted with an unknown young man on Instagram 7 days ago. Later the mobile number was exchanged. The young woman gave all her personal information hoping that the young man would marry her. Later, the young man asked her for an intimate video. After being convinced, the young woman shared an intimate video. The young man saved the video before deleting it. After that, the young man started blackmailing him by showing that video. Demanded money, and threatened to make the video viral if not given. Fearing that the video would go viral, the young woman paid 5,000 rupees through Paytm. The next day after paying the money, the man asked for more money and asked to make a video call on WhatsApp. When the young woman refused, the young man collected the mobile number of the young woman’s father and started threatening her. The video went viral with the young woman being abused. After knowing this, the young woman filed a written complaint at the Sambalpur Cyber Police Station on Thursday and demanded action against the person. The police have registered a case and started investigating the incident.
