Sambalpur: Fisheries Department Launches Innovative ‘Fish on Wheel’ Restaurant at Ainthapali Promoting Native Fish

Sambalpur: The state government intends to promote the sale of native fish obtained in reservoirs, rivers, ponds, and fish farmed by women. The government has made arrangements to make multiple dishes of different types of fish and sell them to customers at affordable prices. While arrangements have already been made in the major cities of Khordha, Puri, Cuttack, and the capital Bhubaneswar, the Department of Fisheries has launched ‘Fish on Wheel’ in Sambalpur.

A ‘Fish on Wheel’ restaurant has been set up along the city’s major thoroughfare, says Ainthapali Chowk, Phd field. This hotel was built on a moving wheel. This was made possible via the efforts of the Odisha government. The hotel’s major purpose, according to the staff, is to introduce and promote native fish to the public.

This ‘Fish on Wheel’ has been opened for 2 days in front of Phd field. Different types of food are made and sold to people at low prices. Odisha Government’s Fisheries and Livestock Development Department has been given the responsibility to manage it properly.

It’s been a great couple of days. People like to eat. Furthermore, this hotel has employed approximately four workers. There is a kitchen and a storage within the town. Food is cooked there and sold from carts.

This ‘Fish on Wheel’ restaurant serves simple thali, mutton thali, chicken thali, egg thali, special amish thali, paneer thali, plain biryani, crab thali, and chingudi thali. Special emphasis is given to the native fish of Sambalpur. That is why those who cook hot fish fry, fish masala, and fish base visit the market. That is why hot fish fry, fish masala, and fish base are served to the public.

The fish of the Hirakud reservoir is being sold more than the foreign fish here. Every day, fish are carried from the dam, cooked up, and sold to the people. The government wants to promote native fish. People can obtain it at a reasonable price. Telfia, a Sambalpur native fish, is being cooked at this hotel.

On the first day, when food was available for 50 individuals, it was quickly consumed. Due to the high demand for food, the hotel has announced that food has been prepared for 100 people today. This hotel is open from 12 to 4 p.m.

The plan is to open in the evenings as well. In the evening, they will prepare a cuisine that the people enjoy. Night options include fish fry, patty fish fry, native fish, and roti dalma. It will vary slightly from the primary meal offered outside. Use less oil in the masala. Which is both delicious and healthy. The goal is to sell Odisha’s local cuisine, which three chefs prepare.
