Sambalpur: Flood affected people seek financial assistance support

Sambalpur: The flood water has dried up, but the tears have not dried up from the eyes of the people. Due to the ingress of flood water, thousands of rupees worth of items and food items have been destroyed in the house. People are now worried about raising their families. Due to this, the residents of Dhobizor Kalyan Mandap, CS Colony, Juphdipada, Hirakud Colony, etc. who were affected by the flood, approached the Sambalpur District Collector on Monday and appealed for cooperation. According to their complaint, everything from children’s books to food items has been destroyed in the flood water. Many houses have also been destroyed in the flood. Keeping this in mind, they have demanded financial assistance for polythene, children’s school materials and other things. Sasmita Deep, Gitanjali Mohanty, Asha Devi, Banita Sahu, Aarti Behera, Pushpa Panda were present and presented the claim papers.
