Sambalpur: Fraud of Lakhs of Rupees in the name of getting a Job
Sambalpur: A woman from the Burla area met a man named R. Naik at Burla Hospital in December 2020. He introduced himself as a hospital employee and asked for some documents saying that he would get her a job in the hospital in Burla. After 15 days of submitting the documents, Naik Babu said that the job was guaranteed. He said that lakhs of rupees have to be paid for security and verification. After 2 days she gave 50 thousand rupees to Naik Babu. Naik Babu said that the appointment letter would be given after paying the remaining amount.
She paid the remaining 50 thousand rupees on last February 2021. After that, Naik Babu ignored her. When the woman went to the hospital and checked, she found out that the man had cheated so many people’s money by saying that he would get them jobs. Not finding anyway, she finally lodged a written complaint at the Burla police station and the police filed a case against Naik Babu.
Fraud of 60 thousand
Sambalpur: Loknath Mohanty has been accused of cheating Rs 60,000 from a person in the name of getting a job published in a daily newspaper. Loknath asked a young man named Chand Singh for 60 thousand rupees saying that he would get him a job last May. He gave 60 thousand rupees to Loknath on May 15th. After learning that he was a victim of fraud, Chand filed a written complaint at the Sambalpur Town police station on Wednesday. The police have registered a case and started investigating the incident. According to the source, Loknath is currently in jail in a fraud case.
