Sambalpur: Ghungutipara Displaced Security Committee at the door of District collector, demanding justice for the family of Babulu Patra
Sambalpur: Babulu Patra of Ghunghutipada of Kamali Bazar was excluded from the survey list of Samlai Yojana. Babulu visited the door of the district administration several times to provide the opportunity to be included in the said list. Even so, after the house was demolished, he took his wife and children and presented them in front of the District Collector’s office. Then the police picked them up from there. Even then he was frustrated by repeated attempts. Finally, on last Friday, his dead body was found near Gudeshwar temple in Khetrajpur police station. While the cause of Babulu’s death is not yet known, his wife and two small children are completely helpless.
The Security Committee, which has been deployed in Ghunghutipada, expressed its concern and demanded that Babulu’s family should be included in the plan immediately. In this regard, the security committee has issued a demand letter to Sambalpur District Collector on Monday. The demand for investigation into Babulu’s death and justice and including compensation to his destitute family in Samlei scheme has been mentioned in the demand letter. The committee members, including Babulu’s wife and children, protested in front of the District Collector’s office holding plycards and issued the demand letter. Along with this, the committee has demanded that all the boys above the age of 18 years and married families should be included in the scheme and given all the compensation.
