Sambalpur: Good News; 50 State-of-the-Art E-Buses Coming to Sambalpur Under Centre’s FAME Scheme
Sambalpur: Another piece of good news is coming for the people of Sambalpur. Sambalpur is going to get 50 state-of-the-art electric buses soon. After receiving these buses, the electric bus service in Sambalpur city will also commence shortly. According to government sources, 50 electric buses will arrive in Sambalpur at once. The buses will be provided by the Union Ministry of Heavy Industries.
The Center has decided to provide a total of 5,595 electric buses to 64 cities across the country. Sambalpur is among these 64 cities. These buses will be provided to the cities under the Fame India scheme of the central government. The addition of 50 electric buses will increase the transportation facilities for city dwellers. Running these electric buses saves fuel and does not pollute the environment.
On the other hand, the ‘Mo Bus’ service has already started in Sambalpur city. Gradually, the number of passengers using the ‘Mo Bus’ is increasing. However, since half of the city has been left out of the service area, there have been demands for buses to run on those routes as well.
