Sambalpur: Greetings to Heavy Vehicles, restraint to small vehicles, accused of reversing instead of blocking traffic police
Tourists coming to the tourist town of Hirakud face the inconvenience of not taking the traffic system. The main reason for this is the illegal parking on the Hirakud-Remed road. Thousands of 18-wheelers and 22-wheelers enter the city every day. The Heavy Vehicles transports coal, ash, diamond etc. to the industry. Most importantly, despite the fact that these industries have their own parking lots, most of the Heavy Vehicles stand on the Hirakud-Remed road in hundreds. As a result, the Hirakud-Remed road has been closed and minor passengers and tourists using the road have been harassed. The tripartite meeting on the traffic problem of the road was decided between the civil committee, the administration and the industry to move the Heavy Vehicles according to various rules. But to no avail. By the way, Hirakud Remedial Road is now being used for more industrial purposes than the residents of Hirakud. The roads are under Hirakud police. Many stakeholders also came to a tripartite agreement to resolve the traffic problem.
According to the rules, the speed of the Varian should not exceed 60 km per hour if he enters the Remed Road. Failure to do so will result in a fine. Today, however, it has been found to be openly violated. As a result, the accident could not have been avoided. Instead of stopping it, the Hirakud police restricted within the city of Hirakud. The two-wheelers are being fined for helmets and speed checks without controlling the speed of the Heavy Vehicle. The city of Hirakud is welcoming fines for violating the law and criticizing the release of the Heavy Vehicle. There is a general fear that the number of accidents could increase in the coming days if the police do not show action.
