Sambalpur: Groom Mate’s Bolero Tragic Accident, driver’s body found, death toll rises to 7
Rengali: Seven people died and three were injured after a bolero fell into the Sason canal at Bishalkhinda under Sambalpur Sason police station. 7 dead have been identified. The deceased were identified as Subal Bhoi, Sumant Bhoi, Suraj Seth, Dibya Loha, Ajit Khamari, Satrughan Bhoi and Ramkant of Badadhara village. Satrughan Bhoi was reported to be the driver. However, the body of the driver and bolero was found in Delay.
According to information, the Groom Mates had come to Parmanpur from Kanaktura, Badadhara area of Jharsuguda district to attend a wedding. Everyone reached the bride’s house with a smile. After a feast, some of the people went from the bride’s house to their home in Badadhara village of Kanaktura district, Jharsuguda. On the way back, it was raining heavily. At that time, 11 people were coming in a bolero. However, as soon as it reached the Bishalkhinda under Sason police station, the vehicle lost its balance and plunged straight into the Sason canal and overturned.
The incident took place at around 2:00 am. As the vehicle overturned, all the people inside the vehicle could not get out. However, a young man managed to get out and called his relatives. Everyone reached the spot and started the rescue operation. Three people were able to get out of the vehicle and 6 people were not able to get out. The driver of the vehicle has not been found yet. It is not clear how many people were actually in the vehicle. , Dibya Loha, Ajit Khamari and Ramakant are said to have died.
