Sambalpur: GST raids on Pan masala wholesale shop in Hatpada
Lakshmi Agency, a Pan masala wholesaler at Hatpada in Sambalpur town, has been raided by the Department of Commerce and Goods and Services (CT and GST). Lakshmi Agency’s office at Hatpada and warehouse along with his residence at Kaishir Road were raided led by Deputy Commissioner Subodh Kumar Panda. The raid came after the long-running Sanjay Kumar Agrawal, the owner of the institute, was accused of tax fraud after the complaint, the raid was carried out by the department.
This includes checking the amount of taxes, the amount less than the actual tax, the status of the legal documents, the purchase and sale of stock check items, and so on. But all the paperwork, payments, etc. are all right, said shop owner Sanjay Agrawal.
Earlier, on September 11, 2020 the Bhalupali-based Gutka Company, on October 4, 2021, the Vaidyanath Chowk Mundra Jewellers, on November 17, 2021, the Goel Furniture at Modipada, and on December 28, 2021, the Gujarati Colony based Clothing wholesale shop was raided on charges of tax fraud.
