Sambalpur: Gun Shots Fired for Robbery in the City, Inactive Streetlight is Growing Fear

Sambalpur: If you look at the lighting system in Sambalpur city, it will be dark at night and the streets of the city will be dark. While the streets are dark, increasing crimes like looting, theft, and robbery in the city are making people more afraid. Even after repeated complaints, the residents of the city have expressed their displeasure as there is no improvement in the situation. Last week, there was an incident of shooting and looting in Poddar Colony near Khetrajpur. While the police have not succeeded in arresting the accused, the shooting incident has left people in fear. Among these, the darkness of the Khetrajpur flyover area is causing more fear. More than half of the lights on the flyover are out of order. The repair of which is not even thought about by the administration. People are traveling in the middle of the night on that way to the railway station On the other hand, the condition of the other 2 roads leading to the railway station and the main road passing through Farm Road has also seen many traffic lights not functioning. Due to the bad condition of Farm Road, people are facing problems while commuting. Along with this, the same situation on the road passing in front of GMU is also demanded to repair the street lights in the city as soon as possible keeping in view the convenience of the people.
