Sambalpur Half Marathon 1st Edition will be held on 3rd Dec
Sambalpur: The first Sambalpur Half Marathon will be held on December 3. This national-level marathon is being organized for the first time at the social institution Happy Feet Sports Foundation. In this regard, the organizing institute gave information in the press conference on Saturday.
Arpita Das, founder of the institute, said that this effort is being made with the slogan “Fit Sambalpur, Hit Sambalpur” to attract people to the sport. Registration for the marathon has also started. 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km marathon categories are awarded for both men and women according to age group in all categories. Arpita Das said that the Marathon Sambalpur will start at Nelson Mandela Street and will be held on Chaurpur Ghanteswari Temple Road.
President of Hockey India, Padma Shri Dilip Tirki will attend it as the chief guest, along with Sambalpur District Collector and SP as the guest of honor, Apita said. On the occasion of the press conference, the managing director of Vikash Group G. Bhaskar Rao, Dr. Dilip Nanda, Ranchit Mishra, Kishore Agarwal, Lalit Rohidas, B.B. Chaudhuri were present.
