Sambalpur: Heavy rains in Sambalpur, Sundargarh today, Weather dry in the state from 25
The cyclone which was over the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining Myanmar coast yesterday is now over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas. As a result of this, it has been rained in some districts of the state today. The extent and impact of rain will be high in the state tomorrow as well. It will rain more tomorrow, especially in West Odisha. According to the Regional Meteorological Center, heavy rain will occur again in some parts of the state tomorrow.
Heavy to very heavy rain will occur especially in Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Deogarh districts. As a result, there is a possibility of landslides, collapse of house walls. Clearly, there is a possibility of submergence of agricultural land in floodplain areas. The weather center has also warned that there is a risk of water level rise in Subarnarekha, Bubhabalang and Baitarani rivers. The Meteorological Center said, there is a risk of heavy rain in 11 more districts tomorrow. Yellow warning has been issued due to the possibility of heavy rain especially in Keonjhar, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal, Sonpur, Kalahandi, Bargarh, Balangir, Nuapada, Nabarangpur and Koraput districts.
According to the Meteorological Center, after tomorrow, the weather will remain dry and dry in the state for the next 27 days. As Monsoon remains active, lightening, thundershowers and monsoon rains are likely at some places.
