Sambalpur: Hirakud festival will be held at Subhash Field from 26th to 29th
Sambalpur: The Hirakud festival will be held at Subhash Ground from the 26th to the 29th. The preparations for this have reached the final stage, it was informed today at a press conference organized by the Hirakud Festival Committee at the Sambadik Bhavan. This year, along with artists from Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, artists from Western Odisha will showcase their art on different days. General Secretary Santanu Badapanda gave detailed information about the event while at the beginning Committee Vice President Sashikant Mishra gave a welcome address with introductions.
A cultural procession will be held on the morning of the date. Similarly, on the 29th day of the Closing Ceremony, Ruku Suna and her team have a performance. In addition, cultural coordinator Sanjeev Panda informed that Kansa’s darbar will also be organized every evening. The organization’s Secretary Pradeep Panda revealed that the expenditure of 15 lakhs has been fixed for this year. More than 50 stalls have been arranged in the grounds. On this occasion, there is also a program to be honored by the committee who have made a name for themselves in the field of art. He revealed that the festival is unique because of the efforts and voluntary cooperation of the people.
