Sambalpur: Hirakud, mentally disabled woman rescued from the forest

Forest Department officials spotted a mentally disabled woman walking in the Debrigarh Forest Sanctuary near Hirakud Dam Reservoir from the past 10 days. They immediately reported the matter to Hirakud’s Institution “Parichaya”.

On January 1, Bipin Bihari Panda, Anil Dehuri, and his associates from the institution arrived and brought her to Asha Niwas after a Covid test. The woman was still not identified and spoke in Hindi.
