Sambalpur: There was a recruitment rally on 25th, 26th and 27th of August 2016 in Police Reserve area, there are many hopes and aspirations in the minds of young women and girls. But they did not know that they have come there to become a toy for the government and police administration.

At that time the SP changed, and the result was not out of recruitment rally. More than 2,000 aspirants are walking from the office to the court in frustration. These hopefuls met on Thursday Dr. Deepak Kumar and expressed his grief and requested him to publish the results of the rally. But he also not supported them, the aspirants said.

Aspirants thronged the door of Sambalpur SP on Thursday and pleaded for the appointment. There too they had to be disappointed. The biggest thing is that in 2016, the Home Guard recruitment rally took place in nearby districts including Sambalpur. Recruitment result was out in other districts, but in Sambalpur the results were not released.

According to the departmental information obtained from RTI, on 28th July 2016, notice was issued by Samadesta, Home Guard, Sambalpur for the recruitment of home guards in various police stations of Sambalpur district. 2105 candidates applied for this. A total of 2098 candidates participated in the physical examination. The results of which have not been published yet. In this regard, 457 letters were sent. On December 1, 2019, the Director of Home Guard, Odisha Cuttack has been informed. It has been mentioned in the RTI that action will be taken after receiving the director’s order. However, even after 3 years, the director’s order did not come. Due to which 2098 aspirants are now spending their days in uncertainty. A case is going on in the court about this. It is worth noting that in 2016, a recruitment rally was held for 3 days at the police reserve area on August 25, 26 and 27, 2016 for the recruitment of 33 home guard posts (30 men, 3 women) in Sambalpur. Young men and women came from far and wide including Sambalpur to participate in the rally. There were height, weight and running competitions among them. Initially, it was said that the results will be out within a few months. But no result came in time. Later Sambalpur SP was replaced by Akhileshwar Singh. At this time, the aspirants came to the door of the then SP Akhileshwar Singh. He said that the result would be out as soon as possible, but no result was released. Later, Sanjeev Arora joined as the new SP. He didn’t do anything either. Examination is conducted under the supervision of Home Guard SP. On the other hand, since the cancellation of the Home Guard Examination of 2016, no new Home Guards have been recruited. On the one hand, as the age of these aspirants is increasing, on the other hand, the aspirants have demanded that the results of the rally be released as soon as possible and the appointment be made.
