Sambalpur: Sambalpur Hosts Khelo India Junior Women’s Swimming; Odisha Leads with 14 Golds, Divyanka Tops Medal Count
Sambalpur: Odisha emerged as the team champion at the Khelo India Junior Women’s Swimming Series 2024 (June 2) Round-1, which was held in Sambalpur with the support of SAI, FFAI, and the State Sports Department, winning 39 medals, including 14 golds. Among them, Divyanka Dibyajyoti Pradhan won the most gold medals—four in total.
Medal Tally
Odisha has 14 gold, 14 silver, and 10 bronze medals. Divyanka won three gold medals on the first day, and another on the second. On the final day, the Odisha team added seven more gold medals to their collection, with Divyanka winning one, Anshika Aradhana Sahu winning one, Chinmayee Behera winning two, Dhanavi Bhoumik winning one, and Prateeksha Nadi winning one.

Closing Ceremony
The event concluded with a grand ceremony led by Odisha Association President Pradeep Kumar Padhi. Bedabhudan Mukhiya, the Sambalpur Municipal Commissioner, was the event’s chief guest and presented the awards. Other notable attendees were Odisha Association Secretary Golapmani Mahant, Treasurer Vijay Kumar Dixit, Laxmichandra Mahakud, Rajiv Lochan Das, Surendra Nayak, Kishore Luha, and Bholanath Bhisoyi.
