Opposition leader Jai Narayan Mishra was mainly angry with the police. At this time, strict security arrangements were made by the police administration so that the BJP workers could not enter the District Collector’s office. The gate of the office was closed and barricaded. Women police officers and staff were deployed there.

After the protest meeting, BJP women workers tried to break into the office of the District Magistrate. The police stopped them. Jayanarayan reached there after seeing the push of the police along with the women BJP workers. What followed was an unfortunate situation. In this regard, Anita has stated in her statement at the town police station that Jai Narayan threatened her and said, ‘Tu ki be tote marmi thappade? We are taking money from you cow traders. We are selling each cow for 500 rupees. He threatened that you are a robber, I will burn your police station and suspend you. Not only that, Anita alleged that he touched her body and slapped her on the cheek. She spoke very humbly to Jai Narayan, though he was not in a position to hear anything. case stated that he misbehaved and insulted him in front of all. Sambalpur Town police station has filed a case against Jai Narayan under sections 353, 332, 533, 294, 500, 506 and 341 of the IPC.

In this regard, Jay Narayan Mishra responded by saying that every action has a reaction. She went to refuse after seeing the police abusing women BJP workers. But the concerned female officer deliberately stepped on her leg. Not only that, he also slapped her. He said that anyone can see this from the photos and videos of that time. Mr. Mishra has alleged that Health Minister Nab Das was killed on the recommendation of the police.
