Sambalpur: IIM Sambalpur Campus inaugurated, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Inaugurated, 68 thousand crores were given to Odisha
Sambalpur: The IIM Sambalpur campus built for Rs 400 crore has been inaugurated. It was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Governor Raghubar Das, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Railway, IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnab, Union Minister of State for Water Resources Bisheshwar Tudu, Sambalpur MP Nitesh Gangdev and IIM Director Professor Mahadev Jaisbal were prominently present.
Prime Minister Modi himself laid the foundation stone of the new campus of IIM Sambalpur through video conferencing in 2021. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the Prime Minister always says, “The project that our government starts, it also launches that project.” The IIM Sambalpur campus built by the Education Department of the Government of India at a cost of Rs 4 crore has also been inaugurated.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone of NLC India Limited’s 2,400 MW coal-based thermal power project at Talabira at an investment of Rs 27,212 crore. In the second phase, 800 MW projects are also planned with an investment of more than 8000 crore rupees. Coal for this project has been sourced from the nearby Talabira 2 and 3 mines. The project will provide 1787 million units of electricity to Odisha and other states in the first phase.
Similarly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also inaugurated the ‘Dhamra-Angul 412 km long pipeline section’ of the ‘Jagdishpur-Haldia and Bokaro-Dhamra Pipeline Project’. Built at a cost of over Rs 2450 crore under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga’ scheme, the project will connect Odisha to the national gas grid. He laid the foundation stone of ‘Nagpur Jharsuguda Natural Gas Pipeline Section’ of Mumbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda Pipeline. The 692-km project to be developed at a cost of over Rs 2,660 crore will strengthen the availability of natural gas in states like Odisha, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated to the country NTPC Darlipali Super Thermal Power Station and NSPCL Rourkela PP-2 Project Expansion in Sundergarh district and laid the foundation stone of NTPC Talcher Thermal Power Project III phase.
MCL has inaugurated Bhubaneswari Phase-I Phase-1 and Kohol Infrastructure Project with Lajkura RLS, built at a cost of Rs.245 crore. The Prime Minister also inaugurated the Ib Valley Wassery in Jharsuguda at a cost of more than 550 crores. He dedicated the 50 km long second track of the first stage of the Jharsuguda-Barpali-Sardega railway line built at a cost of Rs 878 crore to the country. He also inaugurated the three road projects of the National Highway developed at a cost of Rs.2110 crore, four-laning of Muli-Koida section, four-laning of Birmitrapur-Brahmani Bypass side section and four-lane of Brahmani Bypass side-Rajamunda section. The Prime Minister has laid the foundation stone of the railway project of Rs. 2146 crores. Rakashree has laid the foundation for the redevelopment of Sambalpur Railway Station, inspired by the architecture of Rajprasad. He has dedicated to the nation the Sambalpur-Talcher dual carriageway and the Jhartarbha-Sonpur new railway line of the Khurda Road-Balangir railway by increasing the capacity of the railway network in the region. The Prime Minister also flagged off the Puri-Sonpur-Puri weekly express. Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the Jharsuguda Head Post Office Heritage Building to the nation.
