Sambalpur: Illegal Encroachments Removed Near Zilla School in Sambalpur
Sambalpur: For a long time, some people had forcibly occupied and encroached upon the area near the boundary wall of the Zilla school. Today, the enforcement department of the Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation (SMC) removed these illegal encroachments.
Forcible occupation and encroachments are increasing day by day in Sambalpur city, causing major headaches for the authorities. It is alleged that the SMC has not been able to remove encroachments in many places.
With the upcoming Hanuman Jayanti festival in Sambalpur, last year there was chaos on the main chowks due to processions. This time, however, the administration has said there will be no processions allowed.
Roadside vendors from other states had set up shops and lived near the Zilla school street for a long time. They had forcibly occupied the footpaths in that area and caused crowding as they brought in goods for sale. To prevent any disturbances during the festival, the SMC enforcement staff removed these encroachers from the area.
