Sambalpur: Incense Stick will be prepared from the stale flowers of the Samlei temple
Sambalpur: ‘Samalei Incense Stick‘ will be produced from the processing of stale flowers of the Samlei temple. In many cases, stale flowers are left as waste in large piles on the roadsides or streets, causing additional carbon emissions and other problems such as air and soil pollution. This manufacturing unit will completely solve that problem by using the stale flowers from ‘Maa Samaleswari Temple’ in a unique manufacturing process.
This Agarvati manufacturing unit is capable of processing 300 kg of waste flowers per day. The unit has various machines for pulverizer, mixing, grinding, incense and agarvati machine, packaging, etc. The working women in this center have received training in all the necessary fields, which has made them skilled and also provided them with a suitable opportunity to earn a livelihood without facing any difficulties. The Sambalpur District Mineral Institute (DMF) has provided financial assistance for this initiative. It is implemented by Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation. Today Western Odisha Development Council Chairman and Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister Asit Tripathi inaugurated the ‘Samalei Incense Stick Production Centre’.
