Sambalpur: IPS officer and SP- Vigilance Sarah Sharma of Sambalpur joined the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)
Sambalpur: Sambalpur’s daughter IPS officer Sarah Sharma has joined CBI. SP- Vigilance Sarah Sharma was deputed to the CBI headquarters in Delhi. After she joined the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), along with other senior officers, was given the responsibility of investigating the Manipur violence, according to reliable sources.
IPS officer Sarah Sharma is the only Daughter and resident of Sambalpur Odisha. Mother Smt. Renuka Sharma and Father Prof (Dr), GS Sharma. She is a Student of Arts from the years 2000 – 2003 from SB Women’s College, Cuttack. During the year 2010 became an IPS Officer in Odisha cadre.
She went for IPS training and after that was posted at Bolangir, subsequently SDPO, Aska in
Ganjam district. ASP, Angul for six months in 2014, SP, Deogarh nearly 2 years, Principal Police
Training Institute for six months, SP, BPSA, and from 13th Feb 2019 posted at Gajapati SP. Then transferred and posted as SP- Vigilance Organisation, Odisha Police.
