Sambalpur: IT Raid On Vanik Coaching Centre, Know Why?
Sambalpur: On Monday, the Income Tax Department raided the Vanik Coaching Institute of Sambalpur near GM University. According to the sources, the simultaneous raids that began in the early hours of the morning continued until late into the evening.
A team of the Income Tax department came to Sambalpur on Monday morning and conducted the inspection. The crackdown continues at Vanik branches across the state after allegations of evasion of Bank Incentive Income Tax.
Many critical records and important documents were seized from the Vanik Institute by Revenue Department officials.
In March of last year, a team from the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) visited numerous branches of Vanik Institute to investigate possible tax evasion. The institute’s branches are in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur, Balasore, Rourkela, Kolkata, and Jaipur.
