Sambalpur: Jail Chowk-Dhanupali Road Dualization, Disputes over land acquisition & demarcation of both sides of the road

Sambalpur: The road from Jailchowk to Dhanupali is being dualized. Even as work began years after the funding was approved, the dispute over demarcation continues. since the work is not forwarding. Only the land acquisition is running out of time. Therefore, the senior leader Surya Panigahri has demanded that the road work should be completed as soon as possible.

The much awaited Jailchowk-Dhanupali road is getting delayed day by day, leaving behind disputes over land acquisition and demarcation of both sides of the road. The dispute over how wide the roads on both sides will be and how much land will be acquired has not ended. Again and again the administrative team is coming and identifying different values. But no success Don’t create conflict by repeatedly setting boundaries. There is a lot of government land on both sides of the road. Senior BJP leader Surya Panigrahi demanded that the road should be constructed after acquiring it. In addition, he demanded that all the trees on both sides of the road should be planted after the construction of the road.

Land should be acquired by releasing the seizure

There was a plan to dualized the Jailchowk-Dhanupali road and plant trees on both sides. Funds were approved for street lights, lighting, drains and beautification. But the tender could not be called as the land could not be acquired. After that 2 years have passed. In the past few months, tenders have been called for this work and now the work has started. However, even though the land acquisition work has not been completed, it has not yet been inaugurated. No response has been received from the entire department regarding this.
