Sambalpur: Jayshree Mishra, social workers of Samalpur city, is living a miserable life. For more than 2 years, her world has been confined to the 5-foot space left by a car in a garage in Kamlibazar. About 3 years ago, one of Jayshree’s legs and one arm was broken after falling down. Later she admitted to Vimsar. There, due to faulty surgery, his legs never returned to the walking position.
Jayshree, who always roams around the city with an umbrella, is now unable to even walk. She was initially shifted in an ashram for a few months, but for some reason, some government officials and socialites abandoned her at that place in Kamlibazar. Some social workers and associates are providing food to her. For the past many months, a wealthy hotel owner has been delivering food for Jayshree two times. But in the meantime, while staying there, several bars fell and Jayshree’s legs were injured more. She is suffering. She cannot be taken to the hospital for treatment. Because her bed is broken, she can’t even sleep properly. It is widely claimed that the administration should take steps to rehabilitate her in an old age home in Sambalpur city.
Notably, Jayashree, who has interest in social interests and people’s problems at various times, is also known to participate in various elections. She has stood in more than 12 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections as an independent candidate.
